Meanwhile there has been very little fishing on the coarse lake, but the fly lake has started to pick up with trout to over 4lb being caught this week. The fish have been caught on green tadpoles fished on sinking lines, and on both buzzers and blobs/egg-flies, mainly fished static. One angler had 6 fish this afternoon with two of them over 4lb weight fishing an orange blob on the point with two buzzers below a sight-bob. His set-up was one buzzer at 12" the other at 6 feet, the blob at a depth of 10 feet. He caught on all three flies, which is good news suggesting the fish are becoming more active and rising up in the water.

Update February 8th
Fishing has been quiet due to the weather. Anglers on the fly lake have been catching a few fish, earlier in the week on dawl-bachs and buzzers, but after the heavy rain the water is slightly coloured, consequently bright flies such as blobs and egg-flies were more productive today. The best method was fished static below a sight bob.
The water should start warming from now on and hopefully the fish will start moving up in the water.
