Fishing on the trout lake has been a little slow. This may be due to the weed-cutting that took place during the week. This should keep the fishery in tip-top condition until the next cutting in about six weeks time.
There are plenty of carp being caught on the Coarse Lake, along with silver fish and a few tench appearing. For the carp and tench I would recommend using a pop-up bait as there is low level weed to contend with. There were more than a dozen large carp feeding around the margins earlier today when I was around the lake, they were feeding with their heads down and tails in the air, prime targets for anyone wanting a little bit of stalking.
I would ask anglers to fill in catch returns before leaving the fishery, you may do it anonymously if you don't want your name mentioned, so that we can report more accurately.
