Fishery report 8th April

As expected the carp fishing has switched on.  Paul Newell had 6 fish in a couple of hours yesterday, and another 10 carp and a five-and a half pound tench this morning in another two hour session.  The coarse lake seems to be fishing best early in the day.

The Fly lake on the other hand is fishing best in the evenings.  Current closing is at 7 pm.  On Tuesday Ray Harris had 10 to buzzers in the morning, Greg Long had 17, most to buzzer in a four hour session.  Paddy Mc Loughlin had four, and Gar murphy had 3 on a lure, and Noel Bennet had three on a gold bead nymph.
Wednesday saw Jimmy Finnegan with nine fish on lures and buzzers, and Paul Newell had 10 on buzzers for the day.
On Thursady, Jimmy Finnegan had 10 fishing lures and buzzers again, Paul McBrien had 11 on lures in a three hour session.  Dry fly was successful for Jimmy Duggan, throwing three fish into the bag.

Conditions look promising for the weekend.
